| Description |
Congenital
factor XII deficiency is present in 1-3 % of individuals and is inherited
as an autosomal recessive mutation. Factor XII deficiency accounts for
many instances of prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time assays
but has no clinical consequence, even in pregnancy or surgery. |
